
Austin Is Academics

At Austin Public Schools (APS), our goal is to help each student be successful academically. As such, we offer a wide range of opportunities for students at all levels, including:
- Kindergarten readiness programs at the Community Learning Center (CLC)
- Reading and math intervention programs and coaches at all levels
- A thriving gifted and talented program with site-based interventions, as well as the Pi Academy
- Advanced courses in core subject areas as early as 5th grade
- Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses at the high school level, as well as Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) and concurrent classes through Riverland Community College (RCC)
- Building Assets, Reducing Risks (BARR) at IJ Holton, Ellis, and AHS/ALC/AOA
- From Industrial Technology and Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) to Business and Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR), APS is proud to offer more than forty Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses across a wide variety of disciplines.
