Our mission in the Food and Nutrition Services Department is to enhance learning by advancing the quality of school meals and to empower students to make life-long healthy choices. We do this by following the nutrition parameters set by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act that include offering all students a minimum of three fruit and vegetable options, whole grain servings, lean protein sources and low-fat dairy options. As of 2022, the parameters include:

  • All grains are Whole Grain Rich (>51% whole grains)
  • School Lunch Calorie Ranges:
    • K-5th: 550-650 calories
    • 6th - 8th: 600-700 calories
    • 9th - 12th: 750-850 calories
  • Sodium Restrictions on all meals
