Well-Being Guide

Well-being is the foundation for learning. It reflects a student’s sense of self, connection, and belonging when their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs are supported. In our schools, well-being means helping students build resilience, develop self-awareness, and make healthy choices that support both their learning today and their future success.
This Well-Being website is designed for families/caregivers and our school community. It provides clear information, practical resources, and direct connections to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. You’ll find how to access support within our schools, along with community-based resources that can help when additional support is needed. The site also highlights trained staff who can partner with you to plan for your student’s success.
Well-being isn’t separate from academics; it drives it. When students and staff feel supported, we see stronger learning, better school climate, and more consistent growth. That’s why we work in close partnership with families/caregivers and our community, using their feedback to guide priorities and focus our efforts.
Our Austin Packer Core Values anchor this work. They reflect what our community expects and help define what it means to be a graduate of Austin Public Schools, prepared to learn, grow, and make a difference.
