Title Programs
Austin Public Schools operates Title I programs in 6 sites: Woodson Kindergarten Center, Neveln Elementary, Sumner Elementary, Southgate Elementary, and IJ Holton Intermediate School. These programs are designed to help raise achievement of identified students.
Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA)/Federal Title
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), currently reauthorized as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015, is federal legislation that promotes student achievement through school and district continuous improvement.
Title I, Part A programming provides supplemental educational services to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. Title II programming provides supplemental professional development for all Austin Public Schools staff. Title III programming provides supplemental support for multilingual learners (MLLs). Title IV, Part A expands student support and academic enrichment by increasing student access to a well-rounded education, improving school conditions for safe and healthy student learning, and improving the effective use of technology. Federal Title programs are a part of the Teaching and Learning Department at Austin Public Schools.
Austin Public Schools operates Title IA schoolwide programs Banfield Elementary, Neveln Elementary, Sumner Elementary, Southgate Elementary, and IJ Holton Intermediate School. Ellis Middle School operates a Title IA targeted support program.

Right to Know
