Technology Integration Program

What is a Technology Integration Coach?

Primary Purpose

Technology Coaches will carry forward the professional learning and implementation work of the district, specifically in the areas in which technology integration is needed. This work will be directed by the District Technology Coordinator and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in collaboration with Principals through Site Improvement Plans.

Essential Functions

The Technology Coaches will work as a team to:

• Coordinate efforts in alignment with the district strategic plan and develop the use of technology as a tool to support teaching and learning.

• Provide professional development to large and small groups of teachers.
• Serve as coaches and mentors to assist teachers in implementation and integration of technology that promotes learning and digital literacies.
• Work with students and staff to support co-curricular programs involving the use of digital skills and resources.
• Conduct deployment of devices and manage device inventory at sites.
• Create and maintain a technology knowledge base.
